Videowork by Ivalo Frank will premiere at the Black Horse Theatre, Copenhagen. The work is a collaboration with poet Mette Moestrup and sound artist Miriam Karpantschof.

On May the 4th, Ivalo Frank will be talking about her film ECHOES and the use of sound and music in her films. It happens on Alex Radio and 88.4 FM at 1PM

Ivalo Franks latest film Killerbird wins Award of Recognition at Best Shorts Competition USA, 2015

Killerbird will premiere at Galerie Wedding, Berlin – Raum für zeitgenössische Kunst, as part of the POW exhibition/talks curated by Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung & Solvej Helweg Ovesen. The film features Jessie Kleemann, Nadine Milzner, Miki Shoji, Ronni Maciel and Raven Do Canto.
Ivalo Frank will be in the jury selecting the participating 60 artists for 2015 GROSSES TREFFEN in Berlin. GROSSES TREFFEN is a yearly portfolio reviewing event for Nordic artists, where they can meet some of Berlins most interesting curators/directors of art institutions. The jury meeting will take place 26th of January 2015.
The Greenland Eyes International Film Festival 2014 receives funding from A.P. Møller og Hustru Chastine Mc-Kinney Møllers Fond til almene Formaal and the Nordic Film and TV Fund.
Greenland Eyes International Film Festival receives funding from Nordic Culturefond, Kulturkontakt Nord, NAPA, DFI and Fritt Ord. The festival tours the Nordic region from the 28th of August till the 18th of December 2014.
Vivinete has been nominated in the official selection for music videos at the Berlin Independent FIlm Festival, which takes place at Babylon Cinema in Berlin mitte during the Berlin Berlinale. Viviente will be screened on MOnday the 17th of February 2014
OPEN has been nominated for the Tromsø Palm at the Tromsø International Film Festival. Winners to be announced at the festival, which runs from January 13th-19th 2014
OPEN is screening at the International Film Festival Pakistan 2013, in Lahore this Friday at 1PM. Ivalo Frank will be attending via skype.

We are happy to announce that OPEN has been accepted at the renowned Danish Documentary Film festival CPH:DOX. OPEN is screening at 4:30PM, on Nov. 8th at Nordisk Film Palads and on Nov. 17th at Cinemateket. The latter screening is followed by a panel discussion with director Ivalo Frank
OPEN has been selected for the 55th Nordic Film Days Lübeck, which will take place from the Oct 30th to Nov 3rd 2013. The film will be screened two times during the festival and there will subsequently be Q&A with the director Ivalo Frank

Greenland Eyes International Film Festival coming to Greenland (Katuaq), Denmark (the Danish Film Institute), Iceland, Sweden, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Norway, in the fall of 2014!
The editing process is almost finished, we have half an hour of amazing dance movements and body expressions and Anahí’s room is now ready to enter the exciting soundtrack making phase.

ECHOES has been selected to form part of the Venice Architecture Biennale and can be viewed from 29th August till 25th November 2012.
Ivalo Frank has received a production grant for the making of her next film OPEN, which will be exhibited at HEART/ Herning Museum of Contemporary Art (DK) opening on Sep 14th 2012 -till January 6th 2013.

Ivalo Frank has received a grant from NAPA to realise the production of her film EYES, which will be shot in Berlin between the 24th of April and 30th of April 2012.

ECHOES, a film by Ivalo Frank wins the Festival Award for Best Documentary at the London Underground Film Festival 2011. ECHOES takes place on a little island in Greenland, home to Anna Kuitse and her husband, sharing the (love) story about two people who met here in in the midst of international politics. The music documentary was recorded on abandoned military locations in Greenland, and it incorporates the sounds, structures and colours of the mosaic landscape of steep mountains.
Greenland Eyes International Film Festival – organised by Ivalo Frank in corporation with Lill-Ann Körber and Milena Nikolova – has been confirmed. The festival will take place at Arsenal Cinema in Berlin from the 24th of April to the 30th of April 2012. Save the date!
Ivalo Frank’s film ECHOES has been nominated by the selection committees of the 28th Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival for the prize The Golden Key. 14 films were selected amongst the 2,500 submitted films. The film be shown at the festival on the 9th. of November 2011, at 8PM.
The Festival will take place in York (UK) from 3rd to 6th November 2011. The Aesthetica Short Film Festival is a celebration of independent film from across the world. The Film Festival was created as an outlet to support and champion short filmmaking and will cover a wide variety of genres and filmic styles, including narrative films, documentary, animation, music video and artists’ film amongst others.

Greenland Eyes International Film Festival will take place in Arsenal Cinema Berlin in the spring of 2012. The festival is a cooperation with the Nordic Institute at Humboldt University and will highlight films from Greenland as well as other filmic examples that deal with Greenlandic images while produced in foreign countries. With Greenland Eyes International Film Festival it will be for the first time that the Berlin audience is offered a chance to gain an insight into a range of films dealing specifically with various representations of Greenland.
